Harold Wilde's Obituary
Harold E. 'Sam' Wilde III, 57, of Ashford, CT, was born into eternal life on Saturday, April 26, 2008. He was born in Springfield, MA, son of Harold E. Wilde, Jr. and the late Mary L. (Underwood) Wilde. He spent most of his life in Rockville and Willington, CT. He was a member of St. Edward Parish. Sam volunteered as a hospice worker, and enjoyed coaching basketball and little league. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and son, Sam is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Connie Wilde of Ashford, CT; his four children, Sonny Wilde and his wife Erika of Arlington, MA, Chad Wilde of Ashford, CT, Meghan Wilde and her fianc Jack Champagne of Stafford Springs, CT, and Ryan Wilde of West Hartford, CT; two grandchildren, Grace and Owen; his father, Harold E. Wilde, Jr. of Florida; two sisters, Peggy Wilde-Aheart and her husband Monty of Vernon, CT and Susan Wilde of Amston, CT; two brothers, Bill and Tim Wilde of Florida; his mother-in-law, Wanda Satkiewicz of Vernon, CT; special family friend, Tricia Kirkpatrick of Worcester, MA; and a close knit extended family including many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sam worked as a financial advisor for ING where he enjoyed the friendship of many co-workers. Sams family meant the world to him and he viewed each day as a gift. A best friend to many, he was selfless, kind-hearted, and generous. Sam truly lived his life to the fullest. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in St. Bernard Cemetery, Vernon, CT, will be held privately. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O.
