Harry D. Stone's Obituary
Harry D. Stone, 94, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Townsend, MA, son of the late Harry G. and Sarah Bernice (Leonard) Stone. Harry served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and had worked until his retirement as a bus driver for Trailways and Bonanza. He was a member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford, and the Italian Benefit Society. Harry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth (Barstow) Stone; two children, Tracy (Stone) Frechette and her husband Thomas, and Donald Stone and his wife Kimberly; four grandchildren, Kelly Wilson and her partner Troy Thibodeau, Cody Wilson, and Jenna and Jessica Stone; three great grandchildren, Ayanna, Rhett, and Grant; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five siblings, Shirley Augsburger, Roger Stone, Dennis Stone, Kenneth Stone, and Theadora Keefe. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 AM, with a funeral service to take place at 11:00 AM, at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Military Honors will follow the service. Burial in Hockanum Cemetery, Hadley, MA, will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post No. 26, 10 Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT 06076, the Italian Benefit Society, 12 Club Rd., Stafford Springs, CT 06076, or to the First Congregational Church of Hadley, 102 Middle St., Hadley, MA 01035.
