Hazel Hale Campo's Obituary
Hazel A. Campo, 94, of Edgewood St., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2006 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Antonio and Marina (Bellante) Campo. She retired from Campo's Express as a bookkeeper. Hazel was a member of St. Edward Parish, the St. Edward Ladies Guild, was one of the founders of the Stafford Thrift Shop, member of the Stafford Historical Society, the Stafford Senior Center, and honorary life member of the Italian Benefit Society Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid card player and bowler at Lucky Strikes. She loved all sports on television, especially the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Women's Basketball. Hazel enjoyed life to the fullest. Hazel is survived by a sister-in-law, Adele Campo of Stafford Springs, CT; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and a special angel, Ann Maynard. She was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters, Peter, Augustine, Jennie, Romeo, Mary, Valentine, Etalo, and Edward. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2006 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
