Helen F. Mazewski's Obituary
Helen (Fedorchuk) Mazewski, 80, of South Windsor, CT, formerly of Ellington, CT, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016. She was born on March 16, 1935 in Stafford Springs, CT to the late Daniel and Mary (Chamalecz) Fedorchuk. Helen was raised in Stafford Springs, CT and graduated from Stafford high School with High Honors in 1953. After graduation, Helen was hired as a clerk in the Connecticut Motor Vehicle office. She worked her entire career for the State, and retired after 40 years as the District Manager of several Motor Vehicle offices. Helen married Philip Mazewski in 1971 and resided in Ellington, CT for many years. Helen and Phil enjoyed many trips to the Southern Islands, annual Cape Cod vacations, and the many trips on their boat. For the past six years, Helen has resided at Brookdale Senior Living in South Windsor, CT. Helen was predeceased by her husband Phil on February 21, 2005, and her siblings, Olga Gryboskl, Kay Coughlin, Anna Wheatly, Maurice Hanatuck, and Paul Hanatuck. She leaves behind a stepdaughter, Lillian Lynch and her husband John of Somers, CT, who were her caregivers for the past 11 years; and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 10-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to Brookdale Senior Living, Memory Unit, 1715 Ellington Rd., South Windsor, CT 06074.
