Helen M. Slater, 87, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late William C. Slater, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024. She was born in Stafford, CT, daughter of the late Howard and Annie (Soukup) Smith. Helen is survived by her sons, Mark and Michael Slater; grandchildren, Sarah Berard and her husband Jay, and Cobi Slater; two great granddaughters; and her sister, Mildred Braun. She was predeceased by her children, William and Amanda Slater; brothers, Richard and Raymond Smith; and sister, Janet Smith. Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 10 A.M. at Stafford Springs Cemetery, Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT.
