Helen Smith's Obituary
Helen B. Smith, 92, of Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, loving life long companion and childhood sweetheart to her late husband of 55 years Donald F. Smith, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010. She was born in Monson, MA, daughter of the late Fabien and Nellie (Sullivan) Breau. She lived a long and happy life, enjoying her family and friends. Helen was a member of the Stafford Grange No. 1, and for many years had worked at the Springfield Armory during World War II. She loved gardening and was an unselfish person. Helen in survived by her son, Ronald Smith and his girlfriend Dawn DeStefano of Stafford Springs, CT; grandson, Marc Smith and his girlfriend Renee Haskins of Stafford Springs, CT; granddaughter, Lori Squires and her husband Roy of Blanford, MA; and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Dawn; and a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Breau. Funeral services with burial in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately.
