Helen Symonds' Obituary
Helen D. Symonds, 88, of Stafford Springs, CT, died Friday, April 28, 2006 at Blair Manor, Enfield, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late John and Mary Ellen (Ward) Ducharme. Helen had worked at Johnson Memorial Hospital as a receptionist. She was a member of St. Edward Parish, where she was a lector for many years, and a member of the St. Edward Ladies Guild. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William M. Symonds, Jr. of Stafford Springs, CT; two sons and daughters-in-law, William W. and Carol Symonds of Enfield, CT, and Michael J. Symonds and Barbara Harkins of Carlisle, MA; three grandchildren, Bonnie Miller and William W. Symonds, Jr., both of Enfield, CT, and Ryan Symonds of Carlisle, MA; two great grandchildren, Chad and Jacob Miller; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth 'Betty' Ducharme of Vernon, CT; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, John, James, and Robert Ducharme. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours will be on Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
