Skip and I were boyhood friends in East Hartford, where we were classmates at Sunset Ridge School and East Hartford High. After high school we both went our separate ways. Had I known of his demise at the time, my wife and I would have attended his memorial service and paid our respects, For my own part, he was a friend to me at a time when friends were hard to come by, and I will miss him.
To the GOMPPER family my sincere condolences to all. Skip was a good neighbor of mine for many years when I lived in Staffordville. He was always willing to help ones neighbor with out asking. My he rest in PEACE.
