Herbert H. Bennett Sr.'s Obituary
Herbert H. Bennett, Sr., 87, of Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Dorothy E. (Carter) Bennett, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Plymouth, ME, son of the late Howard and Catherine (Parkhurst) Bennett. Herb served our country in the Army National Guard, and was the proud owner of H & B Siding since 1978. In his younger years, Herb was an avid race car driver. He also enjoyed watching and going to races, and camping. Herb is survived by his three children, Herbert H. Bennett, Jr. and his wife Laura, Bruce Bennett and his wife Allison, and Donna Hnatiuk and her fiancé Shanon Dore; five grandchildren, Corey Bennett and his wife Jessica, Michael Bennett and his wife Lindsay, Josh Hnatiuk, Jeremy Hnatiuk and his wife Jade, and Madison Bennett; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria and Freda Long; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Howard, Jr. and Ronald Bennett; and sister, Donna Bennett. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 4:00 ~ 6:00 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately in Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth, ME. Memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Children’s Foundation, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.
