Howard I. Huff's Obituary
Howard I. Huff, 88, of Willington, CT, husband of the late Anne Marie (Dunphy) Huff, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015. He was born in New London, CT, son of the late Howard D. and Inez W. (Emery) Huff. Howard served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean Conflict, and retired as a machinist from Electric Boat. He was a member of St. Jude Church, Fourth Degree and former Grand Knight of the Father Dunn Council # 6934 Knights of Columbus Jean Mathieu Assembly, honorary life member of the Willington Hill Fire Department, honorary life member of the Marine Corps League, member the of Corporal Henry J. Toberman VFW Post No. 938 of Willington, and the Connecticut Wood Carvers Association. He was also an avid sportsman. Howard is survived by his daughter, Ellen Huff; five sons, Kenneth Huff and his wife Theresa, Gary Huff, Kevin Huff and his wife Merilis, Brian Huff, and Adrian Huff and his wife Mary; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, James Huff and his wife Noreen; sister, Fern Rickards; sister-in-law, Edna Huff; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Huff. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Jude Church, Old Farms Rd., Willington, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Philip Cemetery, Ashford, CT. Calling hours are on Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
