Inez Fiamengo's Obituary
Inez A. Fiamengo, 92, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed from this world on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Madelina (Guarco) Fiamengo of Stafford Springs, CT. She attended local schools and started working as a young teenage girl. She was a hard and diligent worker who worked many years in the woolen mills of Stafford before retiring after 30 years from Kaman Aircraft. She was a member of St. Edward Parish. She was an avid gardener who loved her flower and vegetable gardens and working around her family home on Bellrose St. Above all else she loved and was devoted to her family. Inez is survived by her sister, Esther (Ostrowski) Fontanella; two nephews and their wives, William and Lisa Ostrowski of Stafford Springs, CT, and Robert and Cindy Ostrowski of Bozeman, MT; and two grand nieces who were the joy of her life, Mettie and Isabella Ostrowski. She was predeceased by three brothers, John Fiamengo, Americo (Mac) Fiamengo, and Louis Fiamengo. She was also predeceased by a sister and longtime companion, Mary and her husband Stanley Ostrowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
