Ira E. Hynek's Obituary
Ira E. Hynek, 68, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was born in San Angelo, TX, son of the late Emil and Louise (Ellingwood) Hynek. He worked for the Warren Woolen Co. as a mechanic, and served our country in the U.S. Navy. Ira is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Claire (Robarge) Hynek; four children, Rebecca Roberts and her husband Charles, Kimberly Klug and her husband Jacob, Daisy Hynek, and Gerald Hynek and his wife Amanda; six grandchildren, Christina, Jennifer, and Charles Roberts, and Abigail, Matthew and David Klug; a great granddaughter, Sydney Roberts; and three siblings, Floyd and Eric Hynek, and Frances Schmitt. Burial will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
