Irene L. DeCoff's Obituary
Irene L. DeCoff, 78, of Staffordville, CT, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Hartford Hospital with her family beside her. She was born in Bangor, ME, daughter of the late Wellington H. and Virginia L. (Dutton) Sargent. Irene retired as an aide from the Mansfield State Training School. She enjoyed racing (especially watching her grandson Michael race), camping, and above all, spending time with her family. Irene is survived by her three daughters, Laura Bennett and her husband Herb, Sherri Heroux, and Kim Blanchard and her husband Bill, all of Stafford Springs, CT; seven grandchildren, Corey and Jessica Bennett, Crystal and Robert Butler, Michael and Lindsay Bennett, Sheree and Dustin Schold, Melissa and John LaFontaine, Jodi Heroux, and Nicole Blanchard; 14 great grandchildren; 13 siblings, Stanley, Phillip, Pam, Dale, Peter, Boyd, Dwight, Andra, Kelly, Shawna, Gene, Paula, and Wayne; four step children and their families, Lori Sirois, Tim DeCoff, Shirley Hale, and John Nelson; a special nephew, Douglas Sargent; her faithful companion/dog, Chloe; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Alan DeCoff; son, David Rolfe; step mother, Natalie Sargent; and two brothers, Michael and Shane. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
