Irene M. Keo's Obituary
Irene Mae (Hayes) Keo, 86, formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Kimberly Hall, Windsor, CT. She was born on April 6, 1929 to the late Irwin and Viola (Collins) Hayes. Irene grew up in Manchester, CT, and worked at the B. Schwanda Button Factory, American Thread, Manchester Memorial Hospital, CUNO in Stafford, and the Stafford Town Hall. She loved her parakeets and her finches. She loved life. She spent her last few years surrounded by those who loved her very much. Irene is survived by her five children, Patricia Malone and her companion John McKnight, Theresa Shultzman and her husband David, John Becker and his wife Maryann, David Lavoie and his wife Katherine, and Ronald Lavoie and his wife Sheryl; ten grandchildren, Pete, Ulric, Chris, Jackie, Amber, Elizabeth, David, Darcy, Joey, and John Paul; six great grandchildren, Marcus, Mikylah, Julia, Jael, Isabel, and Chloe; sister-in-law, Jean Hayes; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Masonic Hospice and Kimberly Hall for all of their help in Irene’s care. Funeral services with burial in Four Corners Cemetery, Palmer, MA, will be held privately.
