Jack Jezek's Obituary
Jack Jezek, 87, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2007. He was the last surviving son of the late Adolph Jezek and Henrietta (Marx) Jezek, and was predeceased by his two brothers George and Edward. Jack was born on June 6, 1919 in New York City but resided in Staffordville nearly all his life with his lovely wife of 61 years, Gloria, who passed away this past September. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Army Medical Corps, and a retired Psych. Aide employed for 25 years by the former Mansfield State Training School. Jack leaves behind two sons, Barry and his wife Marilyn, and Fred and his wife Marie, all of Tolland, CT; two daughters, Linda Fredette and her husband Bob, and Joanne Toney and her fianc Tim Wilson, all of Stafford Springs, CT. He was blessed with ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, two sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law. Jack loved music and played the Hawaiian guitar in his own band years ago. His warm personality and sense of humor will always be remembered and he will be dearly missed as the cornerstone of his loving family. Our family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Evergreen Health Care Center for their excellent care, Fr. Page and Rev. Kingsbury for their religious guidance, and our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Virginia Riggs whose excellent medical care as well as sincere friendship has supported our family throughout the past years. A private memorial service will be held for the family at the Evergreen Health Care Center Chapel.
