James L. Gantick's Obituary
James “Jimmy” L. Gantick, 61, of Willington, CT, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Windham, CT, son of Adam and Virginia (Wells) Gantick of Mansfield, and formerly of Lebanon. Jim was a graduate of Lyman High School and the Windham Tech auto mechanic program. He worked in mechanics and auto body until he started his own trucking company. Jim was truly the leader of “Jack of all trades”. He was an avid Patriots fan, and loved sports in school and always played to win. He loved building and racing cars, and he also took great pride in his home and maintaining his property. Besides his parents, Jim is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Denise (Ehret) Gantick; daughter, Jennifer Wantek, both of Willington, CT; three granddaughters, “His Girls”, Makayla, Alivia, and Emma Wantek; two brothers, Ronald Gantick and his wife Denise, and Christopher Gantick and his wife Joyce; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 10 A.M. – 12 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 12 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT.
