James R. Kirchhoffer's Obituary
On Thursday, October 21st, 2021, James Kirchhoffer, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 49. James was born on December 28, 1971 in Trenton, New Jersey to Sandra and James Kirchhoffer. James, better known as Jimmy to family and friends, grew up in Columbus, New Jersey alongside his younger sister Christina. Jimmy loved to reminisce on his childhood to the times spent at Long Beach Island, a place that remained special to him for the rest of his life. Jimmy went on to Northern Burlington County Regional High School, then entered into the United States Marine Corps. Jimmy, a true handyman, went on to various construction and manufacturing jobs where he discovered his true passion, woodworking. Outside of the workforce, Jimmy loved anything to do with the outdoors, from camping and fishing to enjoying a beautiful sunset. On August 2, 2014, Jimmy made his beloved Long Beach Island an even more special place by marrying his wife, Carli, on the shore. Like the ocean, music always provided a place of peace to Jimmy. From reggae to old school rock n’ roll, he appreciated each genre for their unique sounds and meaningful lyrics. Jimmy was also an avid lover of sports, with some of his favorite teams being the New York Yankees, Miami Hurricanes (college football), and New Jersey Devils (hockey). Above all else, Jimmy cherished his time spent with his family and close friends more than anything in the world. He will not want to be remembered with sadness and tears, but rather all the laughter shared throughout the years. He will be deeply missed by the friends and family members that always held a close place to his heart. Jimmy is predeceased by his father, James R. Kirchhoffer and preceded in death by his mother Sandra, stepfather Bernie, and his grandmother, Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife Carli, his three children, Kaitlyn and Matthew and stepson Henry, his brother, Bernard and sister Christina, step sisters, Chrissy and Heather, Uncle Michael, brothers-in-law Pete and Kurt, sister-in-law Christine, niece, Holly and nephews, Zack and Tyler, and all extending family members.
