James McAnanama,'s Obituary
James T. McAnanama, Jr., 78, of Wales, MA, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at his home. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late James T., Sr. and Elizabeth (Roach) McAnanama. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was self employed as a mason. He was a member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford, and the Stafford Fish and Game Club. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Donna (Spiller) McAnanama; four children, Mayleen McAnanama, Diane Marin and her husband Todd, Julie Bassett and her husband Jerry, and Edward “Spike” French and his wife Deborah; eight grandchildren, James Black, April Marin, Ariel Marin, Joshua Marin, Tiffany Bassett, Samantha Bassett, Melissa French, and Nicole French; a great grandson, Wyatt James Marin; two sisters, Shirley Osterman and her husband John, and Betty Grolieau; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Richard McAnanama; and a nephew, Alan McAnanama. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 1 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately.
