Jane O. Cole, 77, of Ashford, CT, loving wife of 51 years to Gordon M. Cole, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014. She was born in White Plains, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Leah (Butterill) Collins. Jane proudly served as Read Obituary
Jane Cole was a wonderful and special person. I knew her for 25 years. As a child, she was my Sunday School Teacher at the Ashford Baptist Church. As I grew up, she remained my friend. She went above and beyond to help the children of Ashford, both in running Vacation Bible School, and showing weekly movies at the Church. She was always baking cookies for a pot luck, or reaching out to help someone in need. She meant a lot to me growing up. Erik Harakaly, Ashford CT.
Jane was a wonderful generous lady. I spent lots of time with her when we did Summer Bible camp at the Ashford Baptist church MANY years ago. She was a friend to my son Erik and my late stepson Steven. She was always a special caring lady and I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
