Janice L. Curnan's Obituary
Janice L. Curnan, 77, of Stafford, CT, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024. She was born in Stafford, CT, daughter of the late Dominic and Ines (Mottes) Bardini. Janice retired from the University of Connecticut as an administrative assistant. She served as an AFSCME union steward for many years during her career at UConn, along with being a secretary and vice president of the local union 355. She worked part time for D&L where she made lifelong friends who she kept close contact with up until her passing. She was also a parishioner of St. Mary Church in Hampden, MA. Janice is survived by her son, Timothy Curnan and his wife Heather, and their sons Dominic and Ian Curnan; daughter, Cathy Lamberg and her husband Kevin, and their daughters Ashley Lamberg and Lauren Simonides and her husband Kevin; sister, Nancy Mamunes and her husband Tony; and nephew, Mike Mamunes. She was predeceased by her son, Keith Curnan. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her daily involvement in the lives of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling during her retired years with family and childhood friends Kay, Elaine and Patty. A graveside service with burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately.
