Jean Bragdon's Obituary
Viva Jean (Murray) Bragdon, 86, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was born in Upper Blackville, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Hugh and Emma (Conners) Murray. Jean was quite the collector, snowmen, cups and saucers but most of all her salt and pepper shakers, anyone that entered her home saw her collection displayed throughout her kitchen and dining room (800 sets+). If you asked her about the set, she could tell you where it came from or who had given it to her. The memories made her smile! Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Richard Bragdon; two children, Kimberley and her husband Stephen Carter of Vernon, CT, and Gary Bragdon of San Antonio, TX; two sisters, Edna McCarthy and Ramona McDonald; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Eldon, Aubrey and Alvin; and three sisters, Dora, Iva and Vera. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11 A.M. at the Stafford Baptist Church, 12 Leonard Rd., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be private.
