Jean A. Garrell's Obituary
Jean A. (Aborn) Garrell, 92, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Woodlake at Tolland. She was born in Ellington, CT, daughter of the late Empson and Ruth (Humphrey) Aborn. Jean was proud to be the daughter of tobacco farmers, who worked to develop a large portion of land in Ellington. She worked as a clerk for the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company, and was a member of the Ellington Wesleyan Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jean is survived by her loving husband, William K. Garrell, Jr.; her son, Kenneth Garrell and Kim Woods; five grandchildren, Yvonne, Samantha, Kevin, Daniel and Nathan; and eight great grandchildren, Gabriel, Benjamin, Lydia, Anthony, John, Aubrey, Jocelyn and Louise. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Garrell; two brothers, Dale and Duane Aborn; and her sister, Janet Thompson. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 10 AM at Ellington Center Cemetery, 95 Maple St., Ellington, CT.
