I am posting this a little late as I am still in shock and couldn't think of the right words. I met Jefferson in 1998 when he came to visit Peter's side of the family in sunny Rochdale. He became a great friend. We travelled to London together and stayed with Andi and Peter, he introduced me to Camden market where I almost got my nose pierced and thankfully Jeff talked me out of it! He was a joy to spend time with, so well travelled with many stories that fascinated me. He loved his family so much and thought of Peter as his blood brother. They were hilarious together! The last time I saw Jeff, he gave me a book called "A Confederence of Dunces" He loved that book and I still have it to this day with the words he wrote on the first page. For some reason, that book never ended up in the charity shop box and now I am so glad that it didn't. We kept in touch for a while, we would write or phone (before e mail!) and then sadly I lost touch with Jeff, but I never ever forgot his lovely kind face and the way he made me smile with his many stories. I am thinking of you all with lots of love and cannot begin to imagine how empty you must all feel. Thankyou Peter for introducing me to Jeff! Lisanne xx
