Jeffrey C. Gay's Obituary
Jeffrey Charles Gay, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2021 at the age of 66. He was born in Willimantic, CT, son of the late Joseph Francis Gay, Sr. and Irene (Farnham) Gay, who recently passed away. He grew up in Tolland, and went to Tolland High School. Jeff worked at Hamilton Standard for many years as a lab supervisor. Additionally, he worked as a maintenance supervisor for almost 20 years at Heritage Green Apartments in Fiskdale, MA. He loved boating and tubing on the lake with friends and family. Jeff loved reading and was always eager to learn new things. He often took joy rides in his ’97 BMW Roadster with the music blasting. To others, Jeff was known as someone who could build and fix anything. He had an open heart and inquisitive mind. His absolute joy in life was making his family smile. He was kind in so many ways, like always helping those in need. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Rosemarie Gay; two children, Jennie Georgiades and her husband Chris, as well as Maria Gay and his former son-in-law, Isaac Cruz. He was also the proud grandfather of six grandchildren, Brianna, Anya, Nacario, Jason, Kiki and Ali. His brothers and best friends were Joseph Gay, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Somers, CT, and William Gay of Tolland, CT. Jeff is also survived by his in-laws, Joseph Firetto, Bill and Marion Firetto, and Jean Firetto. Jeffrey is also survived by his aunt, Julie Moyer of Cape Coral, FL. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers, as well as the residents of Heritage Green. There will be no funeral services.
