Jeffrey D. Wolpert's Obituary
Jeffrey D. Wolpert, 54, formerly of Stafford Springs, and recently Eastford, CT passed away on December 30, 2024.
And while all that information is pertinent, it will be the way in which he lived, and loved, that will be remembered.
The son of Sandra Lach and Karl & Deborah Wolpert, the oldest of a clan of five brothers and sisters, the owner of a business that would support not only his own family, but that of each of his employees, the dedicated dog & cat dad to Shade, Luna and Spike, and the loving husband to his soulmate, Abigail Saunders Wolpert.
Like his Grandfather, William W. Wolpert, Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and was always happiest on Cape Cod.
Jeffrey made friends, family, and associates feel seen, heard, and appreciated with a firm handshake, sincere eye contact, and a smile. He worked hard in the shop and, in recent years, had been farming on his slice of heaven in Eastford with his loving wife, Abby. They have been inseparable since the day they met and fell in love 30 years ago. They said “I love you” as many times a day as they could, never went to bed angry, and wanted to spend every moment together than a single day apart.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife Abby, parents Sandra Lach, Karl Wolpert and Debby Wolpert, his siblings Joe Cocco (and Heather Cocco), Michelle Wolpert Kum (and Robert Kum), Laura Wolpert, and William Wolpert (and Lori Paolini Wolpert), his uncle Henry Lach, mother-in-law Barbara Saunders, and his nieces and nephews Addison and Reagan Kum, and Joshua and Matthew Cocco.
Our lives will forever be dimmer, but we are consoled knowing he will shine down on us as a guiding light until we meet again.
“… It makes me smile to know when things get hard
Ooh, you'll be far
Ooh, you'll be far from here
… So, pack up your car, put a hand on your heart
Say whatever you feel, be wherever you are
We ain't angry at you, love
You're the greatest thing we've lost”
– Noah Kahan, “We’ll all be here forever”
