Death date: Oct 18, 2020

Joan and I have been class mates since Saint Edwards School and into Stafford High School. I have always known Joan to be friendly, helpful, good worker, and smiling as she greeted you. I am sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family.

Hi Sue and family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Your mom did a great job raising you all. What a wonderful person, I worked with her at the hospital and she was so funny and kind. Smile knowing that she is with God. Know that she raised you to be a wonderful strong, kind person just as she was with a heart of gold. All my love. Lora Bassett Fortuna & Family "Class of 84"

Richie, Ronald, Susan and family very sorry for your loss. Your mom was a sweetheart and we had many good laughs over the years.

Joan...my mom..my kids noni..I will always love you very much..You took such good care of us kids growing up. Im so glad that I got to take care of you. We had such a great laugh about 6 hours before u passed..I wanted to get u into your hospital bed but u said **** it...I told u I was worried you were going to fall off of the couch...I put pillows and blankets down just in case. Sure enough, I hear u out there trying to get up so you wouldn't get caught. I peeked around the corner and I said "Noni you little witch! What did I tell you?" Well she was very frail and I felt she was breakable. I was picking her up off the floor and we couldn't stop laughing. Even know she was so sick she never complained..What a strong woman she truly was. Thankfully she instilled that quality in me as well. Ill be happy if I can be half as strong as her. Everytime she caught me crying the last few weeks she told me to stop being a frigging baby. Lol. Only noni would say something like that..I know she's with Steven and I told her to tell him he better take good care of her. So now I have to put my trust in God, and Steven, to take care of the beautiful, strong, loving, mother that she was..Brandon, Devin, and Chevelle and myself and Jeff, will miss you terribly. So we love you so much Noni. Rest in peace with the love of your life..xoxoxo.....Susan
