Joanne Marie (Lind) Nilsen's Obituary
Joanne Marie (Lind) Nilsen, 79, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Leif Nilsen, went to her heavenly father on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, the eldest daughter of the late Bror Arthur and Ida (Peterson) Lind. Joanne worked in customer service for Kennametel, Inc. Windsor Locks Division before retiring. Joanne greatly enjoyed her flower gardens, genealogy, crocheting, watching the birds, traveling, hockey, racing, and spending time with her family and friends. Joanne is survived by her daughters, Janet Nilsen, Carol Nilsen, Donna Campagna and her husband Marco, all of Stafford Springs, CT, and Linda Nilsen and family; two special granddaughters, Nicole White and her husband Reilly, and Isabella Campagna; her sister, Ruth Lind of Stafford Springs, CT; and several nieces, a nephew, and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Farney; a niece; and a nephew. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
