John W. Chrostowsky's Obituary
John W. Chrostowsky, 81, of Vernon, CT, husband of 55 years to Susan (Dymerski) Chrostowsky, passed away at Rockville General Hospital on November 24, 2021 with his wife and family by his side. John was born on February 15, 1940 in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late John Chrostowsky and Eunice (Furness) Whitcomb. John graduated from Stafford High School in 1957 and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Hartford and was employed by Pratt & Whitney for 40 years, retiring in 2006. Besides his wife, Susan, John is survived by his brother, George Chrostowsky and his wife Elizabeth of Colchester, CT; his nephew, Aaron Chrostowsky of Winthrop, ME; his niece, Marybeth Chrostowsky of Lawrenceville, GA; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie and Tom Meade of Charlestown, RI; his sister-in-law, Jann Dymerski of Enfield, CT; his sister-in-law, Donna Chrostowsky of Turners Falls, MA; and his beloved Scottie, Lily. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, James Chrostowsky; his stepfather, Albert Whitcomb; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter and Helen Dymerski. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 10 AM to 11 AM, with a funeral service beginning at 11 AM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow the service at Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
