John Kana's Obituary
John E. Kana, 84, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved husband of the late Lorraine (Grenier) Kana, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Racine, Wisconsin, son of the late James and Anna (Holly) Kana. John was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and retired from CUNO as a security guard. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post #9990 of Stafford. John is survived by his four children, Mark J. Kana and his wife Kristine, Susan A. Kana, Audrey R. Jones, and Denise M. Greaves and her husband Richard; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Vera Marko, Anna Mae Hockla and her husband Paul, Christine Gaulin, and Elizabeth Mottes and her husband Bill; and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 10-11 A.M. with a funeral service at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Street Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to Evergreen Health Care Center, 205 Chestnut Hill Rd., Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
