John A. Nicol, 65, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Alton J. and Rose (Disipio) Nicol. John was an avid pool player for many years. Read Obituary

It is with heavy heart and disbelief of the unexpected passing of Johnny. Although we didn't see each other often one thing is for sure, he always had that big grin. Such a great guy. My mom is very sad to hear this news, remembering there wasn't a day that went by where she didn't see him in the yard or house with Skip or Dib, that it was almost like having another son.
The Nicols were the first friends my brothers & I made in the neighborhood and although life took us in different paths, we truly never forget where we came from and the good times attached to them. May God keep you and your loved ones in a gentle embrace during this most difficult of times.
