John J. Orsino's Obituary
John J. Orsino, 93, of Vernon, CT, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Joseph and Lena (Cusumano) Orsino. John served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was a survivor of Iwo Jima. He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and Deputy Sheriff for Hartford County. John is survived by his three children, Leonarda Laskow and her husband Thomas, Cheryl Ann Galovich, and Paul Orsino Kubacka; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Yolanda Sullivan. He was predeceased by his son, Joseph Orsino; and three siblings, Paul and Joseph Orsino, and Helen Kahan. His funeral service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
