John Palacko's Obituary
John A. Palacko, 84, of Upper Rd., Staffordville, CT, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Willington, CT, son of the late George and Susan (Pallo) Palacko. John was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked for the former B. Schwanda and Son Button Company and later retired from North American Printed Circuit as a maintenance worker. John was an Honorary Life member of the Staffordville Fire Department No. 1, member of the V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford, the Stafford Democratic Town Committee, and the Stafford Park and Recreation Commission. He was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and former Stafford Little League Baseball coach. John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth M. Palacko of Staffordville, CT; two brothers, Edward R. Palacko, Sr. and his wife Pauline of Stafford Springs, CT, and Michael Palacko of Maine; a sister, Amelia (Palacko) Gavine of Stafford Springs, CT; a sister-in-law, Mary Palacko of Stafford Springs, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Robert Palacko; four brothers, George Palacko, Andrew Palacko, Steven Palacko, and Paul Palacko; and two sisters, Helen Dymerski and Mary Sabourin. A funeral will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2006, with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
