I always enjoyed when John came over to say high while living on Willie Circle. Mr. and Mrs. Ponkala were great neighbors and I was often welcomed in to watch sports on TV, shoot pool in the cellar and share a meal at their table. Mrs. Ponkala was a Mets fan and Mr. Ponkala was a great basketball player. I offer my prayers during this difficult time and I have sincere sorrow. Paul P.
I am sorry for your loss. I can remember meeting Johnny when he was at Sonja’s. His laughter and his love life was wonderful.
Mel and I would like to extend our sympathy. The first time we met John he pointed at me and said wonna woman. He thought I looked like Wonder Woman. We have chuckled about that many times over the years.
