My Condolences to the Rup family. Jack was my mentor when I first hired into Pratt back in 2010 as a design engineer out of school. I will remember Jack fondly for his mentorship, kindness, and overall positivity. I hope you find strength and peace within during this difficult time.
◦ I was privileged to have known Jack in and out of work. He always find the time to listen and when asked offer his advice. I remember in one of our many conversations he learned I had never been to Block Island, his remark was, “Really? we’ll have to something about that”. He immediately called up his flight club and reserved one of the aircraft and the very next day he flew me and another friend to Block Island. After his retirement we formed a chat group. The group would meet frequently for quick paced walks along the ‘East River Walk’ and sometimes go to lunch. These meetings won’t be the same without you Jack! Rest In Peace my friend! My sincere condolences to your family and friends

So very sorry for your loss. It was an honor and pleasure to have known and worked with Jack. Never will be forgotten.
Jack was an energetic, humorous and generous soul who was such a great part of our lives. Luke will forever remember Jack for taking him hiking at the "Chipmunk Trail" and blaring the song "Born To Be Wild" while riding in the car. A wonderful and helpful friend who will be sadly missed. My condolences and love to all.
I had the pleasure of working in same group as Jack for some time. He was always full of positivity and energy. I also had the privilege of knowing him outside of work either meeting up amongst friends and seeing him at the golf course on occasion. Jack was always active and traveling the world. A life well lived. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to the Rup family.

I have been blessed to know Jack. I enjoyed working with him and hearing all of Pratt and Whitney stories. I be also had the opportunity to spend time with him away from the office. I enjoyed golfing with him, and of course the beer afterwards some time beer he had made. I had always found Jack to a compassionate man who felt he needed to serve others before himself. This world needs more Jack Rup’s he will be missed.
