John "Smokey" Conlin's Obituary
John D. "Smokey" Conlin, 78, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was born in Manchester, NH, son of the late William and Helen (Fitzpatrick) Conlin. Smokey was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and had worked as a parts driver for Backus Motors and Enfield Ford. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Marietta (Willis) Conlin; four children, Kelly Thurston, Jennifer Hernandez and her husband Jose, Holly Patterson and her husband Shane, and Jacqueline Powell and her husband Vernon; and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Adrian Conlin. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A graveside service with Military Honors will take place on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 5 P.M. at Stafford Springs Cemetery, Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT.
