John Villano's Obituary
John P. Villano, 83, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011. He was born in Carbondale, PA, on October 24, 1927 to the late Thomas and Teresa (DeMateo) Villano. John served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II, and retired from the United Technology Research Center as an expeditor. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Wethersfield, and the Stafford Senior Center. John is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Lucille (Steele) Villano; three daughters, Diane Soderman, Sheryl Burnell and her husband Michael, and Judie Baker and her companion Jon Scussel; three grandchildren, Kevin McCluskey, Scott Soderman, and Judith Chewning; five great grandchildren, William, Katherine, Abbey, Tatum, and Emma; two sisters, Mary Staschak and her husband Gene, and Anna Mae Leo and her husband Bob; two brothers, Tony Villano and his wife Donna, and Frank Villano and his wife Audrey; sister-in-law, Jean Villano; brother-in-law, John Nadrotrowicz; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas; sister, Nancy; and grandson, Shawn McCluskey. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 5-7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A calling hour will also be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
