Joseph Angiolillo,'s Obituary
Joseph A. Angiolillo, Sr., 89, formerly of Hartford, CT, husband of the late Marguerite (Padula) Angiolillo, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 in Port Charlotte, FL after many years of suffering from Alzheimer’s. He was born in Naugatuck, CT, son of the late Dominic and Mary (Nardello) Angiolillo. Joe was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a teacher with the Connecticut State Trade Schools in auto mechanics, and was known by all as Joe Bass, the striped bass fisherman. He was one of the last survivors of D-Day as an Army Motor sergeant that served proudly for his country. Joe is survived by his two sons Joseph, Jr. and Vincent; and a daughter Valerie. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 6-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A graveside service with Military Honors will take place on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10 A.M. at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.
