Joseph A. DeNardis' Obituary
Joseph A. DeNardis, 83, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016. He was born in Webster, MA, son of the late Vito and Theresa (Arduini) DeNardis. Joe was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the United States Marine Corps, on the USS Wisconsin. He retired from the State of Connecticut Corrections Department as a Correctional Stationary Engineer, at Somers CCI. He also worked part time as a Borough of Stafford police officer, and at McCullum’s Auto Parts. Joe was a faithful parishioner of St. Edward Church, and member of Rev. Felix J. O’Neil Knights of Columbus Council #1395, where he was a past Grand Knight, past Faithful Navigator, and at the State level, District #26, District Deputy. He was also a member of Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, Boy Scout Troop #47, where he was a former Boy Scout Leader for many years, and member of the Stafford Fish and Game Club, where he was a past president. He was also a member of the Stafford Senior Center, where he was a past president. The family would like to thank doctors Parikah, Freund, and Thumar, as well as the Evergreen Nurses and CNAs, for all of their care and support. Joe is survived by his two sons, David J. DeNardis and his wife Cynthia, and Steven J. DeNardis and his wife Donna; four grandchildren, Jason DeNardis and his fiancé Kelly Babineau, Anthony J. DeNardis and his wife Samantha, Theresa Schrader and her husband Stephen, and Elizabeth DaRos and her husband Brian; four great grandchildren, Isabella, Jameson, Angeline, and Benjamin; brother, Victor DeNardis and his wife Lucille; sisters-in-law, Eva Gasiciel and Theresa Lubecki; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves many good friends, including Wayne Santoro. He was predeceased by his first wife Angeline (Ceppetelli) DeNardis; second wife, Jacqueline (Dube) Brunelle-DeNardis; and brother, William DeNardis. His funeral will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
