Joseph Klecak's Obituary
Joseph H. Klecak, 95, of Olympic Ave., Stafford Springs, CT, beloved husband of the late Sylvia (Phelps) Klecak, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2008. He was born in Willington, CT, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Jansky) Klecak. Joe was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he was ranked as a Staff Sergeant and received the Good Conduct Metal and Bronze Star for his participation during the Normandy Invasion. He retired as a foreman from Colts Firearms after 36 years of employment. Joe was a member of St. Edward Parish, the Rev. Felix J. O'Neil Council #1395 Knights of Columbus, and the Stafford Senior Center. He was a founding member of Stafford Little League, and was very dedicated to his family, especially the love of his life, Sylvia. Joe is survived by his two children, David J. Klecak and his wife Linda, and Marilyn K. Morhardt and her husband Jeffrey of Stafford Springs, CT; five grandchildren, Beth Ann Morhardt, Michael Morhardt and his wife Lorraine and their children Meghann and Jackson, Kyle Klecak, Jeffrey Klecak and his companion Karin Crose and her daughter Anna, and Ashley Klecak; his sister-in-law, Esther Phelps of Willington, CT; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Frank and William Klecak; and three sisters, Barbara Fagan, Agnes Hansen, and Lillian Kocarnick. His funeral will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
