Joseph T. Perko's Obituary
Joseph T. Perko, 88, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late John and Helen (Maceyka) Perko. Joe retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection as a mechanic. He was a skilled mechanic and machinist who enjoyed restoring old engines. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Joe is survived by his wife of 70 years, R. Marie Perko; four children, Joseph T. Perko, Jr. and his wife Deborah, Deborah Hall, David Perko and his wife Diane, and Michael Perko and his wife Sandra; four grandchildren, Joseph T. Perko, III and his wife Jenny, Christine Gilligan and her husband Jim, Kayne Hall, and Emily Perko; five great grandchildren, Elsie and Aubrey Gilligan, Lilah Hall, and Joseph T., IV and Julian Perko; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret DuPont; and brother, Thomas Perko. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 A.M., with a funeral service to take place at 11:00 A.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Connecticut, 8 Keynote Dr., Vernon, CT 06066.
