Joseph J. Vesely's Obituary
Joseph J. Vesely, 75, of Willington, CT, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Charles and Louise (Novotny) Vesely. Joe served in the United States Navy, and worked as a mechanic for most of his life. He was a former member of Willington Fire Department No. 1 and Boy Scout Troop 82 in Willington, and member of the American Legion Post No. 19 in Willimantic and Moose Lodge No. 1574 in Vernon. Joe enjoyed NASCAR and gardening, but most of all, loved the time he spent with his family and friends. He is survived by his three children, Sherry Furphy and her husband James, Joanne Roper and her husband Dave, and Brian Vesely; eight grandchildren, Allen Furphy and his wife Danielle, Jed Furphy and his wife Kim, Trish Flores and her husband Jonathan, Kristopher Roper, David Roper and his fiancé Laura, Benjamin Roper and his fiancé Caroline, Brian Vesely, Jr., and Bethany Vesely; seven great grandchildren, Kaydence, Aiden, Ryker, Cole, Adalene, Alexander, and Isabella; sister, Marie Endino; some very close friends; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Vesely; and sister, Rose Clark. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 9:30-11:00 A.M. with a service to take place at 11:00 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Willington Fire Department No. 1, Ambulance Fund, P.O.
