Josie Fitzgerald's Obituary
Josie B. Fitzgerald, 92, of Pawcatuck, CT, and formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late James E. "Curley" Fitzgerald, Jr., passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Westerly Hospital, Westerly, RI. She was born in Palmer, MA, daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Kowalcyk) Bastek, and retired as an inspector from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. Josie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Fitzgerald of Pawcatuck, CT; two grandchildren, Lisa and Douglas Markie; two great grandsons, Matt and Joseph Markie; a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Morris and Betty Fitzgerald, and Ann Rosi; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James E. Fitzgerald III; and two brothers, Nathan and Bolac Bastek. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 1 P.M. at St. Edward Cemetery, West Stafford Rd. (Rte. 190), Stafford Springs, CT.
