Juanita W. Scism's Obituary
Juanita W. Scism, 89, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late James E. Scism, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Evergreen Health Care Center. She was born in New Britain, CT, daughter of the late Nello and Margaret (Poster) Peloni. Juanita was an assistant librarian at the Stafford Public Library for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Pope; two grandchildren, Katie and Sean; three great grandchildren, Brandon, Alex, and Bella; her beloved companion and confidant, Sanford Rugen; and her half sister, Margaret Gilcrest. She was predeceased by her daughter, Claudia Toth. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 10-11 A.M., with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to Stafford Public Library, 10 Levinthal Run, Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
