To the family of SFC Judson Hunter, USA, CTARNG (Ret)-
On behalf of myself and the Riel and Pelletier family, formerly of Woodstock, CT, I am saddened to learn of the recent passing of your beloved brother in law, uncle and friend to many near and far, JUDSON D HUNTER. As Jud was nearly a centurion in age having experienced many milestones in life's changes, from his early years during the depression, military service during World War 2, attached to the Gliders, and had long tenured service with the Connecticut DOT, and the Connecticut Army National Guard, serving with the 169th Infantry and 248th Engineer Company, formerly in Willimantic, CT. My stepfather, Patrick Riel (1931-2020) served with Jud during Army Occupation years and worked together many years both at the Union and Willington CTDOT facilities and had a great respect amongst each other well into their elder years. Jud was the eldest member of the B/1-169 IN alumnus whom annually attended their reunion picnics regionally until his convalescence and decline in health, yet remained sharp as a tack in recollections of times past. May Juds service to his family, church, community, state and nation be rewarded in life everlasting. Respectfully submitted-
