Julia Muzio's Obituary
Julia (Burke) Muzio 98, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Antonio "Tony" Muzio who died May 5, 1997, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011. She was born in Springfield, MA on November 8, 1913 daughter of the late Nicholas and Ellen (Crowley) Burke, and resided there until she moved to Stafford Springs, CT in 1952. Julia was a graduate of Cathedral High School class of 1932 and the former Springfield Civil Service and Commercial School, graduating in 1934, and then was employed as a stenographer for the City of Springfield. After one year she accepted a position with the U.S. Government Department of the Army, located at the former Springfield Armory, where she served for 33 years, retiring as a production planning and data processing supervisor in 1968. Julia is survived by several nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by two brothers, Edward in 1975, and Sylvester in 1996. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield, MA. There are no calling hours. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Donna Parrow and Cindy Lee for the care and compassion they gave to Julia.
