Julia Passardi's Obituary
Julia (Majnich) Passardi, 95, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Lawrence Passardi, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. She was born December 25, 1915 in Jersey City, NJ to Konrat and Theodozja (Grzeszczak) Majnich. She grew up in Willington, CT and moved to Stafford Springs, CT on April 29, 1940 when she married her sweetheart who she was married to for 66 years. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Willimantic, CT. Over the years she worked at Parizek Button Mill, Rhode Island Worsted, Stafford Printers, and the State of Connecticut. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Arnold and her husband Frederick, and Donna Ricard and her husband Edward, all of Ellington, CT; her grandchildren, Julie Stewart and her husband Randy, Frederick Arnold and his wife Kitty, Shannon Berry and her husband Chris, and Edward Ricard, all of Stafford Springs, CT; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Arnold and her fiancé Richard Greaves of Stafford Springs, CT; a brother, Jerry Majnich of Roanoke, VA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Charles and Viola Passardi, Edward and Margaret Niemitz, Leo Passardi, Sue Lordi, Mary Maltempo, and Bea Majnich; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Ann Cmero and her husband Harry, Lilia Sokolowski and her husband Ted, and Helen Majnich; one brother, Alexander Majnich; and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Chester and Mary Maski, Samuel and Edith Maltempo, Clara Passardi, William Lordi, and Ann Majnich. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife. She was happiest at home with her family around her. Her passing will leave an empty spot in their hearts. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her kind and compassionate caregivers, Alicja, Maria, Krystyna, and Sophia for all their help and support during the past few years so that she was able to stay in her home until her final breath. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 9-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
