June B. Lanagan's Obituary
June (Belcher) Lanagan, 89, of Stafford Springs, CT, loving wife of the late Richard T. Lanagan, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Earl and Elizabeth (VonDeck) Belcher. June worked in the Stafford Public School System as a cook. She was a member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as a former president and treasurer. She was also an avid bingo, domino, and card player. June is survived by her three children, Colleen Leffingwell, Richard T. Lanagan, Jr. and his wife Deborah, and Deborah Perko and her husband Joseph; 8 grandchildren, Richard T. Lanagan, III, Michele Ott, Patrick Lanagan, Jennifer Bessette, Joseph T. Perko, III, Christine Gilligan, Kelly Sargenti, and Shawn Lanagan; 14 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bertha Lanagan; three special friends, Eunice Skopek, Martha Jezek, and Esther Roper; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Earl Belcher, Jr. and his wife Alice; and son-in-law, Raymond Leffingwell. The family would like to thank June’s loving caretakers, Cindy, Brenda, and especially Meagan, for all of their support. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Monday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
