Justina M. Simmons' Obituary
Justina Mae “Justy” Simmons, 55, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born on May 30, 1963 in Stafford, CT to Theodore and Jacqueline (Martin) Robbins. Her interests included spending time with family, gardening, needle crafts, scrapbooking and bingo. She worked and volunteered for many years as an EMT with the Stafford Ambulance Association. She enjoyed time spent babysitting her beloved great niece and nephew, Willow Rae Carpenter and Elliot Carpenter. Justina is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Kirk M. Simmons; five daughters and their spouses, Penny and Chris Affolter, Kimberly Moore, Kimberlee and David Talaga, Bethany Staples and Allison Bruce; a son, Robert Valcik; her mother, Jacqueline Robbins; her mother-in-law, Dolores Simmons; three brothers and their spouses, Theodore and Terrie Robbins, Jr., Tobin and Pinkeo Robbins and Tracey and Sam Robbins; two sisters and their spouses, Joy and Glenn Caldwell and Tiffany and Christopher Schifley; a brother-in-law, David Simmons; a sister-in-law, Leanna Simmons; six grandchildren, Alexandra, Austin, CJ, Taj, Mackenzie and Elora; several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Theodore Robbins, Sr.; a brother, Thomas Robbins; and a sister-in-law, Beth Simmons. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the Italian Benefit Society, 12 Club Rd., Stafford Springs, CT.
