Karen M. Farney's Obituary
Karen M. Farney, 55, of Southwick, MA, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Lind) Farney. Karen was a hard worker, and spent her career working for the U.S. Postal Service, but her true passions were being with her family and friends, and spending time in the sun. She loved to be outside or on vacation, especially when she was at the beach and swimming. Karen is survived by her son, Alec J. Farney; two sisters, Suzanne Rizzo and her husband Jesse Rizzo, and Dorothy Labadie and her husband Steven Labadie; her brother, Richard Farney and his companion Viola Snell; two nieces, Kristina Farney and Jaime McMurray; two nephews, Anthony and Erik Rizzo; her aunt, Ruth Lind; her sister-in-law, Louise Farney; and her brother-in-law, Randy Nick. She was predeceased by two siblings, Christine Nick and Eugene Farney. A calling hour will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 10 AM to 11 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow the service at Stafford Springs Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
