It is difficult to pick out any specific memory, as there are so many for me. When she lived in Springfield and was married to Ziggy, she used to have "pitch" card parties on Sunday afternoons. Sometimes as many as twelve people would show up. As a young lady, it was intimidating to listen to uncle Franny and Auntie Katie yell at each other over a winning hand. We often laughed until we cried, and then yelled some more.
She always worried about her health but always seemed healthy but definitely had enough energy to know all of the family secrets. Auntie Katie was gracious, generous and always opened her home and table to family and friends. She and my mother were key role models for me as to how to worship God. At this time our Lord's words come to mind, "Welcome good and faithful servant".
